How to Make Deviled Ostrich Eggs: A Unique and Delicious Recipe

Deviled eggs are a staple at many events and gatherings, but have you ever tried making them with ostrich eggs? One ostrich egg is equivalent to about 24 chicken eggs, making it perfect for a large crowd. But how do you make deviled ostrich eggs? Here's a recipe to try at home.





Ingredients:

  • 1 large boiled ostrich egg

  • 8 tablespoons of mayonnaise

  • 4 tablespoons of yellow mustard

  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper

  • Paprika for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Place the ostrich egg in a large pot and fill it with enough water to cover the egg. Bring the water to a boil and let it boil for 2 hours.

  2. Remove the egg from the water and let it cool to room temperature.

  1. Scoop out the yolk and place it in a bowl. Mash the yolk with a fork.

  2. Add the mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper to the bowl and mix well.

  3. Spoon the mixture into the hollows of the egg whites.

  4. Sprinkle paprika on top of the eggs for garnish.

  5. Chill in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

It's important to note that the amount of mayo and mustard in this recipe has been increased to account for the larger size of the ostrich egg. If you're making deviled ostrich eggs for the first time,

keep in mind that the yolks can be quite dense and may require some additional mashing to achieve a smooth consistency.
